We recently had the wonderful opportunity to do a collab with the sweet and uber talented: Hanna De La Vega @hndelavega. Her effortless style and dreamy photos, as seen on her instagram, gives all the California cool vibes we absolutely love. Read our little interview below!
Tell us a little bit about yourself- What do you do for a living? And for how long have you been doing it?
I currently work as a Remote Digital Stylist with Bloomingdales. As of recently, I previously worked for MAC Cosmetics and then Nordstrom Trunk Club. I also am a singer/songwriter currently working on an EP. I've been working on music for the last couple years and learning expansive knowledge about the industry. I have a lot of different passions and interests that all work within each other!
How did you get into it? Or have you always known you wanted to do that?
Fairly recently as I was looking for something I could do from home and still be able to pursue my passions-Music, Content Creation, Traveling, etc. I love being able to style people in the digital world as it's very different from the in person experience. I do love working for a company like Bloomingdales as I'm constantly learning about brands and trends!
If you could do anything else in the world, what would it be?
What are the 3 things you value most?
Describe your personal style.
What and who inspires you?
I'm inspired by people like Florence Welch from Florence + the Machine. She's an eclectic goddess with a magic soul. Stevie Nicks of course and I'm easily inspired by music and dancing. Another artist I love is Fleurie.
What is your favorite quote and why?
Favorite quote would be - "In the end the shadow was only a small and passing thing: There was light and high beauty for ever beyond its reach." It's a Tolkien quote. I think the man was brilliant and he created this vast imaginative world that you can take real life out of the fantasy. I truly believe all fantasy is where the magic and hope lives. The dark while is present is nothing compared to all the light that there is.
What is the best advice you’ve ever gotten?
Best advice honestly, as cheesy as it sounds to truly be myself. Over the last couple years I've become a much more quite shy person as I've been afraid of judgement from other people and constantly afraid of looking stupid. Which only lives in my head but, life is too short to not be yourself.
What is your favorite thing about Fall?
She is wearing our Go Forward with Intention Necklace, Dawn to Dusk Pearl Medallion Necklace, Desert Nights Necklace, Mystic Desert Earrings and Green Kyanite Crown below. Thanks, Hanna!
